Hello everyone! Firstly, thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to read on.
I am 28, completely in love and the proud owner of a kitten called Stevie (he will feature, A LOT)!
Living in Cardiff, I travel to and from a small valley to teach Performing Arts in a secondary school. I truly love teaching, minus all the politics. The idea that I can change someone’s life, if just the one person, amazes me and makes me feel really proud. I have had a lot of different experiences in my job and cherish all my memories from the 4 years I have been teaching. I won’t lie, and I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but it is very tough sometimes and mentally challenging. I do it because that one hour lesson I get to share with these young people has the ability to make me feel really special.
I count myself as one of the lucky ones; I have a loving, caring and incredibly supportive boyfriend, family and group of friends. They are my world and always will be.
I love fashion. Granted, I’m not very good at it but I love it. I love clothes, jewellery, shoes, handbags and even the very smallest of fashion accessories, my specs! As much as I love it, I tend to get it wrong. I try, I really do, but some days, I just can’t get it right and end up with my signature hoody, flip flops (or boots depending on the season) and skinny jeans. With these, you can’t go wrong. I am forever pinning and reading blogs about my ‘ideal’ look and think I’m pretty good at giving other’s advice but when it comes to my own fashion sense, I fail, epically.
Now, this word…love, I feel it is overused (especially by me) but when I say I love music, I truly do love music. I love everything about it; teaching others to love it, introducing others to good music, the art it takes to create it, the meaningful lyrics, the simple tunes that stick, the loud, the soft and the way it has the ability to change how I feel in an instant. I love it. I make it. I ALWAYS listen to it.
The countryside is one of my favourite places. I am very lucky that I can always go back to my home town, Laugharne. It is the prettiest piece of countryside I know and when I return there, I can’t quite believe my eyes…and my ears! The colours, the birds, the still, calm waters and the smiling faces that greet you all the time.
The list of things I love goes on and I will bring you more with time…
I consider myself to be a very lucky person and I am so grateful for everything and everyone in my life. However, as Ben Sweetland said:
‘Happiness is a journey, not a destination’
and I intend to use this blog to take you on my journey. I really hope you enjoy!
All my love,
